SUMMARY:Drive & Dine - Dark Horse Irish Pub
DESCRIPTION:Our first drive and dine event of the season kick-offs on Saturday April 13. Our destination will be the Dark Horse Irish Pub. We will be taking a scenic drive through Northern Virginia back roads past fields and farms\, water and woods to Flint Hill\, VA. The Dark Horse Irish Pub is a casual dining restaurant in a renovated 1800s home with cozy dining rooms and a “Cheers Like” pub where locals gather\, and passers-by come to dine on an eclectic mix of menu items. After lunch\, we take a short drive to Blue Valley Winery for their delicious wines and spectacular views. SUMMARY:PCA Potomac Spring Concours
DESCRIPTION:Mark your calendars and get ready for the 2024 Concours season starting with the Second Annual PCA Founders’ Region Concours d’Elegance which will be held on Sunday\, April 28\, 2024\, at 7901 Jones Branch Drive in Tysons Corner\, Virginia\, the same location as last year\, close to Tysons II.   This location is just off the Washington beltway at the Tysons Corner exit providing easy access to participants and spectators alike.  We will provide hamburgers and hotdogs for participants and spectators\, expanding on our menu from last year. \nWe expect to have more than 100 cars registered\, for both display and to be judged in one of a dozen categories of cars from 356’s to current models such as Panameras\, Taycans\, SUV’s and sports cars.  We will have experienced judges to evaluate the cars to be judged.  The top three cars in each category will be awarded glass trophies to memorialize their achievements. \nThe first 80 cars to register to be judged will receive a “goodie” bag with useful items for car care.  The bag itself is an insulated lunch sized bag engraved with the event name and will contain a  fantastic microfiber towel\, an item from Griot’s Garage and items from our sponsors. \nWe anticipate having sponsors from insurance to repair shops to a local dealer to attend and provide giveaways\, in addition to providing information on their products for our members. Sponsorship opportunities remain and anyone interested should send an email to concours@pcapotomac.org for further information. \nOnline registration through MSReg will open on February 21 for both display cars and those to be judged by our exceptional judging staff.  There is no registration required for spectator cars.  Mark your calendars now to watch for registration opening and for the April 28\, 2024 event itself.
