Now Bidding! Richmond Auctions’ Summer 2026 Premier Advertising & Memorabilia Auction

That’s a hard reality for some of us – I’m sure I’m not alone when I say, I still have oodles of items from my childhood. In fact, moving into a new house about 5-years ago, I learned very succinctly how many items I have. A lot. Die cast and posters galore, some signs, a few neons, books, and did I mention die cast and posters? A lot of them date back to when I was about 7-years-old, when I bought my first “important” collectible die cast toy, a red Rolls-Royce Corniche coupe, or as the English say, fixed-head coupe, made by Corgi. I think I paid $7 for it at Litchfield Toys in my hometown of Glendale, California. I’ve got posters from when I discovered Prints Plus in the local mall. To give you an idea, some are in the house, the others fill the trunks of the DeLorean, the Mustang, and the Caprice. And the Caprice has a huge trunk. Anyway, you get the point, and I’m sure I’m not alone in this boat. I say this because sometimes it’s good to let go. Absolutely foreign for me to write those words. But, it makes way for new things to enter life. We love what we have, but who’s to say we won’t love what we find along the trail? It’s a fun journey. So, that said, maybe think about letting a few items go and buying a new one or two. Helping out with that right now is Richmond Auctions, who is hosting a sale of absolutely gobsmacking items June 18-20, as well as online. They’ll be hosting another sale in August too – might be a good time to contact them about consigning an item or five to make some room for what captures your attention at this sale. Take a peek below – it’s stunning what they’re bringing to market.

Enjoy – thanks for stopping by!

Marked “Walker & Co. Detroit,” this earth shatteringly rare Double Sided Porcelain sign has good color and gloss, and shows minor chips, marks, and crazing on either side.  Lot 1519 - SSPN Mohawk Gasoline Sign

Fitted with a new metal can, this Single-Sided Porcelain Neon sign is about as rare as hen’s teeth. Featuring two-colored neon and “day one color and gloss,” the display field is said to be very nice with only minor chips at the neon insulators and stand supports on the outer fields. Measures 4’ in diameter.

Lot 1658 - - SSP Golden Nugget Gasoline Pump

Lot 1658 - SSP Golden Nugget Gasoline Pump

When was the last time you saw a Golden Nugget Gasoline sign? Sounds like a casino in Las Vegas, but this indeed is infinitely rarer than that casino. A pump plate, it would have been affixed to a gas pump, but this one is in such nice condition it likely never saw a pump. Single Sided Porcelain, it shows excellent color and gloss with only light surface wear, discoloration, and a few tiny chips. Retaining the factory original grommets, it’s stunning and psychotically rare.

Lot 1453 - - Restored 10-gallong Musgo Visible Gasoline Pump

Lot 1453 - Restored 10-gallong Musgo Visible Gasoline Pump

Highly detailed throughout, this 10-gallon visible gas pump has been fully restored in Musgo livery and towers at an imposing height of just over 10-feet tall. Fitted with a new cloth hose, polished brass nozzle, and a seemingly neverending array of details, the pump is absolutely impressive to say the least.

Lot 1617 - - Die Cut SSPN Bar Sign with Lighted Chaser Bulb Arrow

Lot 1617 - Die Cut SSPN Bar Sign with Lighted Chaser Bulb Arrow

Factory fitted with neon, this Single Sided Porcelain “Bar” sign is exquisitely illuminating and eye catching. Measuring a stunning 10-feet tall and 4-feet wide, if the neon and chasing lights don’t catch your attention, the size will. With minor imperfections, overall this sign will impress completely in any collection.
