September 1-3 marks the dates that Worldwide Auctioneers will return to Auburn, Indiana with over 150 lots of memorabilia, and 350 cars from various genres. Interestingly, the vast majority of the items coming up for bid are on offer without reserve – whatever the last bid is takes it home.
While several items and vehicles take our breath away, a few stand out. Lot 606, for example, is a super cool electric car that no one will argue about. Built by McLaren Restorations, this Porsche Speedster go-kart looks the part of every motorists fantasy, just at scale size. Another great item is Lot 3053, a Goodyear Tires porcelain neon vertical sign. As colorful as can be, it stands 94-inches tall (nearly 8-feet) and is complete with unique font styles and the winged foot logo. Lot 3057 is a gem in the rough. An American 48 Triple Pump Oil Lubester from 1922, it’s set up with the Texaco logo and being unrestored it shows a lot of patina. Complete with the three hand crank pumps for three separate containers, the sale includes the original Texaco plate as well as a copy of the period ad.
The lots go on and on, and the cars are unstoppable. The premier classic, collector, and world-class car auctions in Scottsdale, Texas, Pacific Grove, and Auburn. Learn more here and register to bid here – good luck!
