Automobilia Vintage – Automobilia and Models and Prints, Oh My!

Steve Contarino is a lifelong car guy.  A true car enthusiast, he runs Checker Motor Cars and isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty on projects.  He’s restored numerous Checkers and enjoys helping people with those cars, but is also known for enjoying Rolls-Royces and the people in that community as well.

Like so many motoring enthusiasts, he’s also amassed a collection of automobilia like few others.  As such, he recently launched Automobilia Vintage, and it’s off to a surprisingly good start.

While the website is littered with very cool, unique pieces, a few stand out to us, such as the 1/12-scale Mazda Cosmo with its original box.  Measuring 15-inches long, the car is one of those hyper rare oddities that would be such a cool conversation piece.  When was the last time you saw anything like it?  If that’s not enough, the porcelain Porsche Diesel dealership sign is a rarely seen but cool piece.

Presented in ‘as-new’ condition, the sign measures 29.5-inches long and is said to show no scratches or dents.  See it here.  Another spectacular piece is the 1/10-scale Oldsmobile Delta 88 concept drawing for the 1955 Motorama.  The art measures 7.5- x 22.5-inches inside the frame, and is another one of those items Steve has on offer that makes our jaws a bit slack.  Check out his other items on offer here, and check back often – he’s always updating what’s available.
