Heading back to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania in July, Mecum is offering up some lovely pieces of automobilia and a large selection of fantastic cars. Two of my favorites are the Michelin Man Statue Michelin Man Statue for Sale at Auction – Mecum Auctions , AKA Mr. Bib, and a 1948 Jaguar Mark IV Drophead Coupe 1948 Jaguar Mark IV Drophead Coupe for Sale at Auction – Mecum Auctions. Now, that said, picking either as favorites was nearly impossible, and very painful, so take a peek for yourself and see what else they have in store. Below are a couple of great Texaco pieces, of which I think I need the old Bennett gas pump. Who doesn’t? With bidding options online, over the phone, and in person, there is a way for anyone to acquire exactly what they want at this Mecum Auction – take a look and see what you think! Hope to see you there!
Mecum’s Road Art® division will return to the Northeast with some seriously cool pieces during the dog days of summer this July 24-27 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Among the highlights already consigned is a duo from the iconic Texaco brand. An 86-inch-long by 54-inch-tall porcelain Texaco sign from the 1950s-‘60s originally came from a Texaco service station in southern Maryland, while a restored Texaco Bennett Model 756 Gas Pump with Texaco Fire Chief pump plate was originally built by the John Wood Company Bennett Pump Division of Muskegon, Michigan, around 1948 to 1954. Road Art offerings will kick off the live auction extravaganza each day at 9 a.m. prior to vehicles, and there’s always room for more pieces to join the party in Pennsylvania.
