Motorlux was born from Gordon and Molly McCall’s infamous McCall Motorsports Revival (founded in 1991) during “Monterey Car Week.” This event is a world-class, red-carpet event featuring million-dollar jets, rare and unique automobiles, local farm-to-table dining experiences, and high-end cocktails, wine, and champagne. In 2022, Hagerty introduced the Motorlux Reimagined event that builds on McCall’s Motorworks Revival.
“Motorlux remains faithful to its’ elegant entertaining roots while creating elevated and artfully curated experiences that celebrate automotive, aviation, and culinary culture,” Hagerty states.
Motorlux will also serve as a live automotive platform for Broad Arrow Auctions, part of the Hagerty Motorlux event that offered 169 lots of classic, sportscars, and supercars during Monterey Car Week.
The A-list soiree was the place to be on the Monterey Peninsula during the most significant and important gathering of automotive excellence that included state-of-the-art aircraft, the latest supercars, gourmet food, and the finest California wines to be found anywhere in the world.
Motorlux serves as the ultimate kickoff for “Car Week” where luxury and ambiance blanket the tarmac for an esteemed array of auto aficionados. Hagerty has partnered with McCall’s Motorworks Revival and is, “thrilled to be taking it on as part of their expanding suite of automotive events and experiences.” Motorlux supports the CHP 11-99 Foundation that provides immediate support to grieving spouses, as well as emergency assistance to families in times of hardship.
