Lot 443 - Ettore Bugatti Magnum Hugh Conway & Maurcie Sauzay
When it comes to the Bugatti brand, this first edition is considered by many to be the Bugatti Bible. This one is complete with the engine-turned slip cover and tag. First published in 1990, the 560-page book contains extensive information about the company with fantastic photos from the early days of racing, the factory, and much more. Even if you’re not a Bugatti aficionado, this book is a spectacular addition to any motor fanatic’s library.
Lot 732 - 1955 Lincoln Futura Concept Model
Large in scale, this model of the famous Lincoln Futura shows beautifully and is certainly impressive. The Futura indicated the direction not only for the Lincoln Division, but the Ford Motor Company and all of its divisions. The future was bright and the Jetsons were going to be your neighbors, according to Lincoln. Interestingly, the Futura would have a unique life ultimately being converted into the original Batmobile for the television show Batman which debuted in 1966.
Lot 742 - Mobile Pegasus
What garage is complete without Peg? This large-scale example is lined with the neon and shows very nicely and appears ready to be hung, illuminated, and enjoyed. What a great nightlight this would be.
Lot 654 - DSP Oldsmobile Service Sign
This large, double-sided porcelain Oldsmobile Service sign is complete with a metal frame and brackets and shows beautifully. Oldsmobile dealers used signs like this during the 1950s through the 1960s, the globe-in-ring design reflecting America’s interest in space travel and futurism.
Lot 664 - Alfa Romeo Dealership Sign
With a maker’s mark from Dualite of Williamsburg, Ohio, this lighted Alfa Romeo dealership sign is noted as being very large. Sounds perfect. Again, a fabulous nightlight, Alfa Romeo signs have long been popular, but in the past couple of years, they have really become of interest to collectors and enthusiasts.
Lot 746 - Pontiac Dealership Sign
The tall flange signs were affixed to the sides of the buildings and were especially popular in cities with overhang restrictions. This one features colorful neon and is, of course, very large and heavy, measuring approximately 14-feet tall. Original examples of these are some of the most sought-after dealership signs on the market.
Lot 745 - Buick Dealership Sign
Another tall flange sign, this Buick sign also features the working colorful neon and is very rare compared to other styles of Buick dealership signs.
