August Events

Who else is interested in Rust Belt Americana?  Presented by Rob Wolfe of American Pickers, Americana launched last year to great fanfare and returns this year August 7-10.  Held at the Bend Expo Center Casino in East Moline, Illinois, Americana is a smorgasbord of all-things motoring enthusiasts love, including a swap meet, auctions by Richmond, and more, all on the banks of the Mississippi River.  More, Americana seeks to raise money for scholarships to support students entering trade schools, and it’s an early effort to turn the Quad Cities into a global destination for motorheads.  While I’ll likely be returning to Monterey this year, and likely hosting the Garage Tour, I am thinking about doubling up and trying out Rust Belt Americana.
