Fall is slowly persuading Summer to lighten its grip, and cooler weather, shorter days, and darkening leaves are beginning to become the norm. Not sure about you, but I’m not a ‘heat’ kind of guy, so I’m always thrilled with Fall’s arrival. That said, too, a number of great car-related activities begin appearing on the calendar – not that there’s a shortage in Summer, just – again – I’m not into events revolving around hot days.
One fun event coming on the horizon is the Morphy Auction’s Automobilia & Petroliana sale. With a multitude of exciting items coming up for bid, one of my favorites it the Michelin Bibendum service station display. An actual plaster figurine, Mr. Bib comically looks like he’s tripping over a tire while holding a “MICHELIN” sign. I’m sure that wasn’t the intent, but it’s terrific. See it here. Meanwhile, check out the Musgo sign.
Thanks for stopping by!
