The fact is, whether you believe in them or not, it is a New Year – a new calendar, a fresh start. Carry it with you, find things to do and attend experiences you often thought about, or maybe never thought about but have been presented with the opportunity. Do it. Did you ever see Yes Man with Jim Carrey? Aside from the comical aspect, there is a serious undertone, an encouraging message that should be followed. The message is do it. You grow by doing, not shrinking into a corner. Do it. Engage in the uncomfortable until it becomes comfortable. Then you’ve conquered fear.
Okay, locker room pep talk done, I think I’m trying to encourage you all to go to swap meets, bid at online auction platforms, hit some live auctions, go to the junkyards, lay down that garage floor, repaint the garage, get that new door – if it’s not going to strain you financially or otherwise, do it.
