A car I’ve long wanted and rarely spoken of is the Ghia 450 SS. The backstory of a Hollywood producer influencing John DeLorean, Plymouth, and Ghia to build a specialty sportscar costing around $13,000 in 1967 is enough to make anyone appreciate them. But, it happened. And, in spite of its gorgeous styling, exclusivity, and performance, less than 60 450 SSs were made, largely because of the price. But there it was, a hand-built Italian convertible with a stunning body and the smooth, reliable, simple engine and underpinnings of a Plymouth Barracuda S. Rarely do these things come up on the market today, they are usually traded within a tightly knit community, but one is available at CarCorral.auction. In fact, it’s supposedly the only one that was ever built wearing yellow paint from the factory. I about fell over when I saw it. See more about it below, and go bid!
