That’s how the Mecum Auction Company is touting the upcoming Brian Lang Collection coming on offer in January at their flagship sale in Kissimmee, Florida. And, having looked over the pieces in the collection, the title is fitting. Lang has amassed a collection that rivals any other in the world – that’s a huge statement coming from me. I’ve seen a few collections in my time, but this one – it’s unreal. Take a peek for yourself below.
Like me, many of you are returning from some time at Monterey Car Week, and I hope you had as good a time as I did. A full 10 days is more than enough time, but it’s not. There are simply too many things to do, too many places to go, too many people to see. Oddly, I remember 20+ years ago, driving up from Long Beach to Monterey on Wednesday for Concorso Italiano on Thursday. Tradition usually held for fish and chips at the London Bridge Pub upon arrival, an auction or two on Friday and Saturday, and Pebble on Sunday then home. The trek always had me thinking it was so much to pack into a few days. Boy, was I wrong. Car Week has grown into Car Two Weeks and is absolutely packed with multiple events each day now. Anyway, stay tuned – I wanted this issue to have coverage of the days at Monterey, but it’ll need to wait as I don’t want to just do a photo dump. Our Facebook has that though.
