The Spindizzy, or Tether Car, community is a fun group. You might recall “Muse Garage” from the printed edition of Garage Style Magazine, or the great book about Spindizzies from Eric Zausner, both hugely inspirational. And, if that’s not enough, you might remember our very own Rick Rader repurposing his closet to accommodate part of (yes, part of) his own Spindizzy collection. GSM is no stranger to spindizzies and neither are our readers. They are hugely collectible and visually stunning – the detail and workmanship is outstanding.
Automobilia Vintage has available a hyper cool, very rare 1930s B.B. Korn 1:8-scale Indianapolis polished aluminum, handmade spindizzy. Steve of Automobilia Vintage says this example is highly detailed and high quality, with a seat and seat trim of leather, aluminum wheels, and rubber tires. The hood opens to reveal a replica (non-working) gas engine – see it here and find out more about it.
