Mecum Auction’s Indy Spring Classic hits the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis May 8-16 with a seemingly never-ending succession of cars and memorabilia on offer, including complete collections. One of the collections is The Aberdeen Creek Collection, comprised of a stunning array of signs promoting gas and oil, tires, OEM, and more. One of our favorites is Lot Y235 , a Single-Sided Porcelain Neon Sign promoting Super Greyhound Motor Fuel. A rare sign indeed, information about Super Greyhound Motor Fuel is exceedingly scarce – the company was originally based in Georgia in the 1930s, but the corporation was dissolved in Florida in 1959. Outside of that, it’s truly a mysterious company.
If racing collectibles is of interest, Mecum On Time is currently handling the sale of Tom Ski’s Racing Collection, a stunning array of racing diecast cars, autographed ballcaps and posters, a refreshing selection of specially-branded lighters, and more. Really very cool.

The late Tom Swierczynski was a passionate enthusiast and collector of racing-related memorabilia, and the trove of items here reflects his deep love of NASCAR and strong admiration for impactful racing figures like Carroll Shelby. Impressively, a majority of the items are autographed by motorsport legends.
