The Garage Tours
In 2010, Garage Style Magazine, along with some local friends along the Monterey Peninsula, established the Garage Tour during Monterey Car Week. Open only to a small group of invited guests, the Tour remained relatively elusive for most of the ensuing years, quietly launching Car Week on the Monday preceding Pebble Beach. For the most part, things were still calm on that Monday, most events getting ready to set up, most of the people not arriving until Wednesday or even Thursday.
In 2019, the Tour largely came of age by advertising and selling tickets for the first time. Still meeting in relative secrecy for a kickoff breakfast, details were dispersed to those who bought the tickets. It was a resounding success – again.
