Like Christmas after Christmas

There are few places better than Florida to visit in January, right? While much of the country is under a blanket of snow, or bracing for it, Florida is cruising along under the sun, a balmy 70-something degrees. Maybe it’s in the 60s, so wear a light jacket – but still. And Mecum hits the nail on the head every January kicking off the New Year with their flagship auction in Kissimmee. This year, the event is to be held January 2-14. With some spectacular cars on the roster, including a super low mile Jaguar XJ220 and a Porsche 959, bidders and enthusiasts will also be salivating over the very last SWB 1960s Ferrari California built and a 1948 Tucker, and if those aren’t enough, fanatics will find a Duesenberg and two very distinctive Corvettes, a 1969 L88 and a 1972 ZR1. The list goes on and on, and there is something for every budget. That said – there will also be an assortment of awesome collectibles too, ranging from coin-op kiddie rides to porcelain signs to neon and more. Personally, I can’t wait, and I hope you’ll tune in too and enjoy the festivities. It’s a great way to kick off the New Year, don’t you think?
