MECUM Houston & Other Event Updates

Below, you’ll see the tale of yet another fine Monterey Car Week event ceasing to exist.  While losing any of them is sad news, this one is especially hard for me and the readers of Garage Style – Automobilia Monterey has bid collectors farewell.

My suggestion, and I’ve said this before, is that we need to support the in-person effort as well as those treasures found on the internet.  Be there – attend – buy.  Go to the events, big and small, old and new, and take part in what’s in store.  Turn off the computer, the smartphone, the device, and be there.  Otherwise, we succumb to the digital world and all its inhuman characteristics, as convenient as they may be.
