The no reserve auction is a fun one, isn’t it? They’ve honestly always perplexed me, because on one side, people say the items up for bid sell for more because more people don’t want to lose the opportunity to grab the item. But on the other hand, I’ve seen a lot of items sell for much less than they’re really worth. So, for the sellers, it’s a gamble – but one thing is absolute… whatever the item is, it will be sold and it will go home with a new owner.

With that in mind, Broad Arrow Auctions will be hosting a no reserve auction of over 200 lots of petroliana through an online-only sale. Comprised of an astonishing array of very unique pieces, many of the items must be once-in-a-lifetime opportunities, furthering the excitement. Broad Arrow Auction s is pleased to present a UK-based, single-owner Petroliana Collection of over 200 lots, all offered without reserve, that will be auctioned online this coming 14-28 July. This single-owner collection includes a vast array of items to suit all budgets, from a wide variety of petrol signage, large-scale Michelin Bibendums, some of the finest vintage petrol pumps, to a Bedford Dormobile Camper which was seen on British TV on the cult classic Wheeler Dealers hosted by motoring legend Mike Brewer. 		1963 Bedford CA Dormobile Romany Caravan The charming caravan on offer began life as a Bedford CA van, which was transformed by the famous Dormobile corporation, as shown by its original Dormobile tag. After years of enjoyment, the caravan underwent a comprehensive overhaul in 2022, a process documented by the Wheeler Dealers television series. Their work brought the van to more modern standards, equipping it with a more powerful 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder Ford engine with an automatic transmission. The restoration also included a fresh coat of paint in a period-correct two-tone light-blue and white. Inside, the seats were retrimmed, new cabinets were installed with a two-burner gas stove and a stainless-steel sink, and the roof canopy was replaced with the correct red and white striped canvas sourced from Dormobile. These upgrades have transformed the camper into a more practical and modern van, without compromising its original charm.
