Many of us are guilty of just wingin’ it. But for a venture to be truly successful, I think most will agree, a plan is in order. This is true too for interior design, extending to the garage, or even the storage room. In this edition, we have the fun of following along in the creation of a storage room that takes on the look of a garage. Very fun project, but it shows well something I’ve long been a fan of, product cross use. In this case, using garage storage cabinets in a room in the house for a clean, purposeful look with a dash of industrial usefulness. Take a look, I hope it gives you some inspiration. If nothing else, repurposing a room is great practice for figuring out what’s working and not, knowledge that can be applied elsewhere, like the garage!
And, as many of you are journeying up to Monterey for Pebble Beach Car Week, our man Down Under sends his notes from the 2014 Goodwood Revival. An event I’ve long wanted to partake in, reading Paul’s words only makes me want to hop the pond, I hope you like it too.
We also have some news from Mecum, who has exciting items up for bid and is always looking for pieces to offer. So, if you find yourself inundated by things and need to make room for new things, maybe give Mecum a call and see if they can help you move things along. They have a multitude of platforms through which to sell, so there’s something for everyone and everything. It’s all by design.
