If you’re looking forward to Monterey Car Week, it’s always worthwhile to attend the Automobilia Collector’s Expo at the Embassy Suites. Event organizers, Will Elkadi and Ben Horton, have worked hard at growing the event and expanding the overall Monterey Car Week offerings since launching the Expo just a few years ago. This year, the Expo takes place August 10-12, but Elkadi and Horton also offer the all-new Piazza Motor Nights celebration on August 10, an automobilia auction on August 11, and the ACE Forums moderated by Nic Waller with Donald Osborne and Wayne Carini discussing various stories of interest.
Piazza Motor Nights will bring together a well-considered gathering of artists, musicians, vendors, foods, and, of course, vehicles to launch Car Week in great style at the Courtyard by Marriott Sand City. The automobilia auction is uniquely positioned as the only automobilia-only auction during Car Week, which is fairly stunning considering the number of auctions on the Peninsula at that time. Live bidding will take place August 11 from 4-8 pm, and thus far, includes two dedicated collections, the Donald Osborne Private Collection and a Tribute to 75 Years of the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, flanked by a wide variety of rare and unusual pieces from private consignors such as posters, signs, models, and much more.
An Automobilia Expo, an automobilia auction, a forum of respected motoring personalities, and an elegant evening to kick the week off – Monterey Car Week 2026 seems to be off to a great start.
