Seeking the Good Ol’ Days

Seeking the Good Ol’ Days

Growing up with a garage full of old needful things my dad couldn’t live without kind of taught me the cool factor of having cool things.  A lot of his stuff was from the 1960s and 1970s, eras I can’t quite remember, but I loved rifling through all of his stuff and seeing how they did things back then.  I really fell in love with magazines and print advertising, shocking to hear, I know, coming from a guy who’s basically dedicated his life to working in the field.  Interestingly, today, it seems to be the 80s and 90s that are coming into demand.  Two garages I visited recently were absolute throwbacks to those days of arcades and BMXs, Max Headroom and Cadillac Allantes, Knight Rider and Star Wars.  And, nice to know that Vicari Auction is supporting our habit of loving old stuff with an auction coming up in October in Biloxi, Mississippi – plenty of time to plan, so I hope you will.  Now that I live in nearby Texas, I think I’ll pay a visit!  See ya there?
