Things to Do

In this post-covid world we live in, it seems overwhelming to find anything to do. Where once there were no options, now there are too many. While I love a good stroll through any auction or swap meet, and I adore a good garage tour, I’ll tell ya, as a reasonably recent home buyer, I’m really digging cleaning out boxes and getting things sorted for the garage. It’s a slow process around here as there are a number of priorities for the house itself, but, I’m slowly edging in on the garage – for example, in the coming months we’ll be installing a minisplit to control the humidity and temperatures within. Living in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, that’s important as it can get fairly warm here with a decent kiss of humidity. I’m playing with flooring ideas, and while I still lean toward porcelain, there are so many options to choose from, it’s like choosing an activity living in post-covid world. But it’s fun and I’m enjoying the time creating my own space.

Speaking of activities, Monterey Car Week is coming up quickly and several events have fallen by the wayside, creating a unique void and moment of relaxation to actually enjoy the happenings. That said, I’m lightly working on the revival of the Garage Tour, which might be a simple affair, a soft relaunch of a once mighty event. Who’s in?
