Letter from the Editor: Winding Down the Summer (Pt. 2)

It’s funny how working with other people’s garages and learning from them has created havoc in my own garage. Now that I actually have a garage, I am having fun trying to clear it out from the various boxes used during the move and create a space of my own, a garage inspired by all I’ve seen and learned by working for Garage Style Magazine. But isn’t it interesting how when faced with the question of, “What do you want to do?” you can be frozen like the deer in the headlights? “I – I – I don’t know!!” Porcelain floors are slowly losing ground to polishing and coloring the floors, which was always a popular idea to me, and we’ll be installing a mini split soon, but we need to paint the walls and reset some of the drywall and get rid of the current workbench and shelving, literally made of simple unfinished wood. So much to do… I always said start with the floors, and I still believe that, but have learned you’ve got to get the walls done first or right after, this way the garage is empty. Stay tuned and thanks for all your suggestions and input!!!

Meanwhile, I hope you’ve been looking at the new website, completely revamped and recharged to work with our social media, this newsletter, and newly-formed partnership newsletters and social media. There’s a lot of info swirling around up there. Soon too it will lead to the online magazine and Garage Style Magazine YouTube Channel. I am in over my head for sure – about that porcelain floor…
